I've Got You
Created after a family friend, First Sergeant Russell Bell, who died from an improvised explosive device (IED) while serving overseas. The effect of the loss inspired a tribute in his honor. Maxine decided to tell the story through the eyes of a military spouse, but anyone who has lost a loved one can relate to the song. Although you may lose loved ones, you still have their spirit in their children or in the legacy that they left behind.
