My north eastern USA travels have ended! If you’ve been following my personal IG and Facebook Story, you know that my daughter and I were in our own Winter Wonderland in the DMV area. We made it a Mommy & Me getaway from beautiful and warmer conditions in Tampa Bay, Florida.
There is never a trip without a dining experience. Before heading to the DMV area, we were in Charlotte, N.C. aka “The Queen City” cooking up a new project with one of my favorite music producers! It was the first time my daughter joined me in the sound booth and we had an amazing time recording in the studio together! I can’t wait for you guys to hear “Above The Storm” She made her debut y’all! (I’ll be sharing all the deets on the making of this song and the work we put into it and the joy we gained from it.). Okay, let’s proceed to the reason for this blog post.
We decided to go to the DMV area to spend time with my sister from another pair of humans. ? Girl’s time was at the top of our list! We decided to spend time in Georgetown and dine at a restaurant that we haven’t dined at together.
We traveled to Washington D.C. to the Georgetown area. Here’s my amazing dining experience in pictures. My mouth is watering just thinking of it! My sis decided on Fiola Mare. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the friendliest staff. We sat at the window and thoroughly enjoyed the panoramic view of the Potomac River. People watching is one of my favorite things to do. Outdoor seating was an option.
We decided on the famous Sparkling Brunch without the sparkles! Haha! This includes the following:

What a treat this experience was! From the appetizers to the main course, it was incredible!!
Most importantly, we spent quality time with my bestie from high school who I now call sister, and as usual, she spoiled us with her cooking. I’m going to have to share with you a cooking experience that I had with her. Let’s just say this, a breakfast without steak is just not the same!
After all that snow and winter fun, we were ready to return to more tolerable weather conditions, our beautiful city, and home of this year’s Super Bowl! Whoo Whoo!!!
